Marriage
God’s plan to create man and woman for one another is revealed at the very beginning of creation with the natural union between Adam and Eve. Throughout His ministry, Jesus continued to emphasize God’s desire for marriage to be part of His saving plan. Saint Paul compares Christ’s love of the Church, His Bride, with the love experienced between a husband and a wife. Jesus even performed His first public miracle at a wedding feast. The Sacrament of Matrimony gives us graces to faithfully and lovingly live out married life.
Couples should schedule weddings at least six months in advance. Arrangements should be made at the Catholic parish where the bride or groom is registered and regularly attending Mass.
