Children's Religious Education

What Is Children’s Catechesis?

The goal of catechesis is to bring people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In addition to teaching the doctrines of the Catholic Church, we welcome and form children as disciples of Jesus through prayer, liturgy and sacraments. We encourage participation in the faith community and the mission of the Church by fostering Catholic faith traditions and providing opportunities for Christian service.

What Do We Do?

Our religious education program serves children in Preschool through Grade 5 who attend public, independent, and home schools as well as all parish children and families preparing for their first celebration of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. We provide preparation for the Sacraments of Initiation for older children. We offer Vacation Bible School in June for parish children Preschool-Grade 5.
